PAPC Player Skill-level Groups

Hi PAPC members,

The club has now formed different groups to help players find other players at their skill level. These groups are simply a way to meet other players, and not for challenge ladders.

1) You can join any group by going to the Google sign-up sheet (link HERE) and add your name to the list.

2) Players will contact anyone in their appropriate group to arrange to meet to practice or play pickleball.

3) The groups will be self-managed.  Once you join a group, we’ll send you contact info for everyone in the group.

4) Wins and losses may be recorded, but only so group members can evaluate whether they are in the correct group.

These are the groups:

GROUP FOR BEGINNERS

This group is for beginning pickleball players who want to practice hitting the ball over the net. No rating necessary.

GROUP FOR NOVICE PLAYERS

This group is for members who know the rules and want to play easy games, practice dinking and ground stokes. No rating necessary.

GROUP FOR PLAYERS WITH A 2.0 - 2.5 RATING

This group is for members who want to go to the 'next level' and play easy games, just for fun.

GROUP FOR PLAYERS WITH A 3.0 RATING

This group is for members who want to play a little more competitively, but also want to play just for fun.

GROUP FOR PLAYERS WITH A 3.5 RATING

This group is for members who want a good match, but not to 'win at all costs.' If you want to play a competitive match for fun, this is the group for you.

GROUP FOR AGES 11 - 17

This group is to support our Youth Outreach Program and is for players at any level who want to practice pickleball. This group is for our younger members who are learning the rules and have learned to keep the ball in play. They want to practice serving, ground strokes, dinking, and to play games for fun. No rating necessary.
